A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the very same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get email messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty in case you’ve got a web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet astonishingly simple to use, and it will allow you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be listed alphabetically in this section and next to each one you will see a small "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will enable the feature, clicking on it twice will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with each semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will allow you to create a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulty even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you decide that you don’t want the feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
